Duke of Lancaster
The TSS Duke of Lancaster, once a railway steamer passenger ship, served ferry companies from 1956 to 1979. Today, it rests beached at Llannerch-y-Mor Wharf, close to the Mostyn Docks on the River Dee in North Wales.

Flint Castle
Flint Castle was the first of a series of castles built during King Edward I's campaign to conquer Wales. The site was chosen for its strategic position and was only one day's march from Chester, supplies could be brought along the River Dee; There was a ford nearby across to England that could be used at low tide.
